PSX team visits Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry

​The Business Development team of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) visited Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry and met with the Executive Members of the Chamber. Senior Vice President - Mr. Muhammad Arif Madni, Vice President - Mr. Danish Shafique and Member Executive Committee - Mr. Javed Iqbal were amongst the participants who graced the occasion.

The team delivered a presentation detailing the options available at PSX for companies to raise capital. The focus was on how companies can benefit, with relatively less compliance to follow, by listing on Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Board of PSX. The presentation included initiatives taken to facilitate the companies interested to raise debt by issuing and listing debt through the Exchange. The team also briefed on how members of the Chamber can benefit by investing in the companies listed on Exchange. The participants were also given a detailed insight on the capital market of Pakistan. The PSX representatives guided the members on how to select stock-brokers with the help of the broker’s list and contact details available on PSX website. They were informed about the various functions & operations of the Stock Exchange along with the different asset classes of investment available in Pakistan. Members were also briefed about the efforts of PSX for improved investor protection.

In the end, the participating members of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry took the opportunity to raise their queries regarding listing & investing on the Stock Exchange, Code of Corporate Governance and Regulatory requirements. The discussion ended after a detailed Q&A session. The Hyderabad Chamber’s members appreciated PSX’s efforts and opined that the session provided them a better understanding of the listing process and the options they can seek to grow their businesses.​
