PSX and CFASP hosts Speaker Series roundtable on Global Investment Perspectives

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), in collaboration with CFA Society Pakistan, hosted an insightful Speaker Series Roundtable Session titled, ‘Global Investment Perspectives: Positioning Pakistan in Emerging Markets’. The event featured Mr. Ali Naqvi, Founder & CEO of Aletheia Capital, Hong Kong, as the keynote speaker.

Present at the session were Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, Chairperson PSX; Mr. Farrukh H. Sabzwari, CEO PSX; PSX Board Members Mr. Nihal Cassim and Mr. Nadeem Naqvi, among others. Distinguished participants from CFA Society Pakistan included Mr. Muhammad Asim, President CFA Society Pakistan, Mr. Mohammad Shoaib, Founding President CFA Society Pakistan, Ms. Sarwat Ahson, Executive Director CFA Society Pakistan and other participants included esteemed members of the capital market fraternity.

The discussion revolved around the global trend of economies turning inward and the critical need for self-reliance and sustainable growth within Pakistan. Panelists highlighted the recent positive developments in the capital market, emphasizing the importance of fostering tax reforms to address sectoral concerns and create a more conducive environment for investors.

In her closing remarks, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar paid tribute to Mr. Ali Naqvi, acknowledging his invaluable insights.
