Students of Central Institute of Management Sciences (CIMS), Lahore, Visit PSX

Students of Central Institute of Management Sciences (CIMS), Lahore, visited PSX regional office, Lahore, for an Investor Awareness Session. The students were given a detailed presentation on the functions and working of the Stock Exchange and its role in capital formation in the country. The students were also apprised about the importance of financial planning, effect of inflation on savings, and benefits of long term investment in the equity market. The PSX representatives also guided the students about selection of a stock-broker with the help of the brokers’ list and contact details available on PSX website and how to navigate & explore the different functions/ information available on PSX website.

An SECP official was also present on the occasion, on invitation of PSX. The SECP representative briefed the students about the apex regulator’s functions in terms of regulating the financial sector of the country, specially its Capital Market. He also briefed the participants about the Jamapunji portal which is an investor education portal initiated by the SECP.
