PSX holds Investor Awareness Workshop for women – Day 2

Pakistan Stock Exchange held the second day of the Investor Awareness Workshop for women which covered a session on investing in PSX via mutual funds. This session was presented by Head of Product Development, HBL Asset Management Limited, Mr. Naufal Moosa. The last session of the two-day workshop was presented on how to open an account on PSX and the role of brokerage firms in the capital market. This session was conducted by Mr. Yasir Yaqoob of Y.H. Securities. Also, on the 2nd day of the workshop, two social media influencers joined in to share their success stories and motivate the participants on making prudent but tough decisions for the betterment of their futures. These social media influencers were Ms. Nida Saif, Pharmacist and Founder, Super Women of Pakistan, and Ms. Javeria Shahbaz, Founder, Mom Tribe Mart & Jawnts.​

The two-day workshop was a very fruitful and useful one with women participants from all walks of life engaging themselves productively in the sessions of the workshop. The sessions were interactive with a Q&A segment held at the end of each session. The participants were allowed open discussion for their better understanding and greater receptivity to the briefings being presented to them. This exercise was part of the Financial Literacy Initiative of Pakistan Stock Exchange to spread and disseminate financial literacy and awareness to the general public. It was primarily focused on women to increase financial literacy amongst women in line with PSX’s advocacy and promotion of gender equality, diversity and inclusivity. ​
