PSX holds briefing session on capital markets for visiting journalists team from Center for Excellence in Journalism, IBA

Ms. Raeda Latif, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), presented an overview on the capital markets to a delegation of journalists visiting PSX from the Center for Excellence in Journalism at IBA. This exercise was part of the Financial Literacy Initiative of PSX to disseminate information and educate the public about financial planning, savings & investment, functions of the Stock Exchange and its role in capital formation. The journalists were briefed about the capital market ecosystem, responsibilities of the regulators and various functions & operations of the Stock Exchange along with the different asset classes of investment available in Pakistan.

Furthermore, the journalists were informed about how the Stock Exchange is linked with the economy and what is the overall impact on business activity in the country. The attendees were also briefed about the benefits of investing, how they can invest and build their portfolio.
