PSX conducts Investor Awareness Session for GIFT University Gujranwala

PSX Lahore conducted an Investor Awareness Session for students of GIFT University Gujranwala, with a focus on educating the students about the importance of stock market investments and the vital role the capital market plays in Pakistan’s economy. The session covered various topics, including Sahulat Account opening, portfolio management, making informed investment decisions, how dividends impact stock prices, market trends, and economic indicators. During the session, students were introduced to the ‘My Portfolio’ virtual trading platform, where they not only learnt how to allocate virtual cash in a live trading environment but also learnt how to open their accounts. This hands-on experience allowed them to engage directly with the trading process and understand the dynamics of the market in a risk-free, virtual setting. Participants were also briefed on the benefits of investing in PSX and how to navigate the PSX website. The event concluded with a lively Q&A segment, where students actively sought insights into the Stock Exchange and investment strategies for both Primary and Secondary markets. The students expressed their gratitude for PSX’s commitment to enhancing investor awareness and fostering the growth of Pakistan’s capital market.
