PSX and Yasir Mehmood Securities jointly conduct an Investor Awareness Session for SKANS Abu-Bakar Campus, Lahore

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) along with a securities broker, Yasir Mehmood Securities (Pvt) Limited, jointly conducted an Investor Awareness Session for professional students of SKANS Abu-Bakar Campus Lahore. This was part of the PSX Financial Literacy Initiative to inculcate awareness among the youth on investment, particularly equity investments in the stock market, and the role of the capital market in the economy of Pakistan. The participants were apprised about how to open a brokerage account, how to select stockbrokers, and how to navigate the PSX website. This was an informative and productive session for all participants as Pakistan Stock Exchange continues its efforts to disseminate investor awareness and education to the general public, specifically to the youth. The representative from Yasir Mehmood Securities also explained the overall functions and operations of a brokerage house. Concludingly, there was an interactive Q&A session where students and their faculty members asked several questions with regard to the Stock Exchange and investing in the Primary and Secondary market. At the end of the session, the faculty of SKANS appreciated PSX’s efforts for the awareness of investors and furthering the development of the capital market.​
