PSX and Yasir Mehmood Securities jointly conduct an Investor Awareness Session for Lahore School of Economics

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) along with a securities broker, Yasir Mehmood Securities (Pvt) Limited, jointly conducted an Investors awareness session for the students of Lahore School of Economics (LSE). This was part of the PSX Financial Literacy Initiative to inculcate awareness among the youth on investment, particularly equity investments in the stock market, and the role of the capital market in the economy of Pakistan. The participants were apprised about how to open a brokerage account, how to select stockbrokers, and how to navigate the PSX website. This was an informative and productive session for all participants as Pakistan Stock Exchange continues its efforts to spread investor awareness and education to the general public, specifically our youth. The representative from Yasir Mehmood Securities explained the overall functioning of a brokerage house. Before the session ended, there was an interactive Q&A session where students and their faculty members asked several questions relevant to the Stock Exchange and investment process in the Primary and Secondary market. At the end of the session, the faculty of LSE appreciated PSX’s efforts for the awareness of investors and the development of the capital market.
