Pakistan Stock Exchange conducted an Investor Awareness Session for the students of Government College University (GCU), Lahore as part of the Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025

PSX Lahore recently conducted an Investor Awareness session at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, as part of the Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025. The session aimed to educate students on the importance of stock market investments and the critical role the capital market plays in Pakistan’s economy. Topics covered included portfolio management, making informed investment decisions, the impact of dividends on stock prices, market trends, and economic indicators. During the session, students were introduced to the “My Portfolio” platform, where they learned how to allocate virtual cash in a live trading environment. 13 students also opened their own accounts, gaining practical exposure to the trading process in a risk-free, virtual setting. The participants were also briefed on the benefits of investing in PSX and how to navigate the PSX website.

Students at GCU were highly engaged throughout the session, asking insightful questions not only about the stock market but also about the upcoming Pakistan Stock Exchange’s stock trading competition, “PSX Battle of the Bulls 2025.” Their curiosity and enthusiasm reflected a strong interest in deepening their understanding of investment strategies and capital markets. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, leaving students appreciative of PSX’s efforts in promoting financial literacy and investor education across Pakistan.

Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025 is being held in collaboration between PSX, SBP, SECP, CDC and NCCPL.
