Exploratory Roundtable on ESG in the Automotive Sector

An Exploratory Roundtable Virtual Session on Environment, Social and Governance in the automotive sector was held at Pakistan Stock Exchange led by Dr Shamshad Akhtar as Chair of the Session. The session had representation from six leading automotive companies of the country. Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and ESG Task Force members including CFA Society, ACCA Pakistan and Pakistan Environment Trust were also present.

The automotive industry representatives gave insights on the ESG initiatives which their respective organizations are currently undertaking and discussed further steps that need to be taken to promote ESG reporting in the automotive sector.
